The Town Council currently maintains, in partnership with Conwy County Borough Council, decorative lighting in the Town, including: in Mostyn Street, Upper Mostyn Street, Madoc Street, Vaughan Street, Gloddaeth Street, Craig y Don, and the lighting along the Promenade.
The lights are seasonal (for reasons of maintenance and electricity costs), with Summer lighting being switched on annually from July to September, and Christmas Lighting, generally, from end of November/early December until early/mid January.
In addition to the decorative lighting along the Promenade, there are also cross street catenaries in Mostyn St, upper Mostyn Street and Madoc Street, and lighting strings in Vaughan Street, Gloddaeth Street and Craig y Don which are switched on both summer and winter.
Over the past couple of years, the Town Council has developed a number of Christmas Lighting projects including: lights on the frontage of the Town Hall; lights on Carlton Island Roundabout; lights on the canopy of the North Western Gardens public conveniences; lamp post motifs in Gloddaeth Street, Lloyd St and Madoc St; and Tree lights in Upper Mostyn Street, North Western Gardens and Trinity Church. In addition, several christmas trees are provided in Llandudno wards.
If you notice any problems with any of this lighting, we would be grateful if you could please contact the Town Clerk at
