On Saturday May 19th 2007, Miss Kayleigh Hoe-Pike was chosen as Miss Alice for the year 2007-8. Twenty eight entrants competed for the prestigious title this year and the competition was particularly keen. Five judges presided over the entrants and scored them according to their presentations and appearance on the day. All entrants were congratulated for having taken part.

 

The outgoing Miss Alice, Miss Teri Helme, congratulated Kayleigh on her success and spoke of how much she had enjoyed representing Llandudno over the past year.  The Mayor, Cllr Alun Barrett, thanked Teri for all her hard work as an excellent ambassador for the town..

 

The new Miss Alice then visited the Rabbit Hole tourist attraction in Trinity ~Square, Llandudno to collect her complimentary hand made costume which she will wear whilst on official engagements.

The next competition will take place in May 2008.  All girls aged between 8 and 10 years, who live in Llandudno, Bryn Pydew (Penrhyn Ward), Penrhyn Bay, Llangwstenin or Glanwydden, are eligible to enter.  Further details will be available in the spring.
