Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 6.30pm in the Council Chamber, Town Hall. Its remit includes:
- Responding on behalf of the Council to all consultations for development under Planning legislation including Lawful Use submissions
- Determination of responses on behalf of the Council in respect of all applications relating to the preservation, felling or other works with respect to trees and tree preservation orders
- Determination of the Council’s response to any appeal against a decision by the Planning Authority, including the preparation of submissions to be made to an Inspector
- Determination of any responses to be made by the Council in relation to applications for licences issued by the Unitary Authority
- Acting as the consultee in respect of matters relating to the built environment, roads and highways, footpaths, car parking, traffic management, traffic regulation
- To advise the Council on its responses to be made in relation to the LDP
- To deal with all matters relating to public rights of way
- To deal with all matters relating to public transport (including infrastructure)
Planning applications:
Copies of current planning applications are held by the Town Council and can be inspected between 9am - 5pm, Mon to Fri. No appointments are needed to view applications - please just call in.
