Each year the Town Council works in partnership with Conwy County Borough Council, local businesses, schools, community and voluntary groups, residents and private organisations on floral displays outside the Town Hall.

To make the town centre come alive with a blaze of colour, Llandudno Town Council has co-ordinated the purchase of hundreds of hanging baskets for retailers, hoteliers and private residents which are carefully prepared for the customer and delivered to the door.

The Town Council also organises the annual Llandudno in Bloom competition.  Entrants are judged in 13 categories, including categories for hotels and guesthouses, shops, schools and private residences. The 2011 winners were presented with their certificates and trophies at an award ceremony held on Wednesday 28th September 2011.

This year we are also encouraging groups to enterthe RHS It's Your Neighbourhood campaign.  This scheme provides free support and recognitions to community groups that are focused on greening up and cleaning up their local area.  This might be a park or community garden, the grounds of a housing estate or a shared residential alley - almost any outdoor site being looked after by the local community qualifies.

If you would like to enter the 2012 Llandudno in Bloom competition or are involved in a community project that you think could be included in the Wales in Bloom protfolio/judging route or could contribute a little time to help smarten up your neighbourhood and would like to participate in the RHS Neighbourhood Award Scheme, please contact this office.   We would really welcome your help and constructive suggestions towards improving the appearance of the town and its surrounding area.

Llandudno in bloom also now has its own website.  Please click here to access the website.
