Overview:

Llandudno Town Council is in its 36th year of existence, having been inaugurated following the local government reorganisation of 1974 and has 30 Councillors spread between five ward areas (Penrhyn, Craig y Don, Tudno, Mostyn and Gogarth). This equates to a representation of approximately 20,500 residents.

Llandudno Town Council meets on a Friday evening at 7pm. There are also three Standing Committees: Planning & Transportation (Wednesday evenings), Community Services and Tourism (Tuesday evenings), Finance & General Purposes (Friday evenings), which meet approximately every six weeks, with the cycle of meetings taking place to lead up to report to the Council. A full cycle of meetings is established and published at the beginning of the municipal year in May. There are also numerous Sub Committees and Working Parties which meet either in the daytime or evenings as required.

The Council oversees the various functions listed below, and has three members of staff: Town Clerk, Deputy Town Clerk and Part Time Clerical Assistant/Receptionist.
