The Town Council was delighted to be able to hold its spectacular Christmas Parade once again on Saturday 2nd December 2023. The Parade, through the streets of Llandudno was led by Father Christmas on his sleigh, followed by the Mayor and Mayoress and Miss Alice. Attractions included the ACF Corps of Drums and Knights of Snowdon Band, the Theatr Colwyn Mother Goose themed pantomime float, stiltwalkers, Snow Queen, nativity float, juggling elves, as well as young people’s groups from Llandudno.

Crowds lined Mostyn Street and Lloyd Street to watch the Parade and enjoy the entertainment outside the Town Hall, featuring Llandudno Town Band, Llandudno Youth Music Theatre, the Black Box Entertainment, Abba Tribute. There was also the switching on of the Christmas Lights at the Town Hall by John Evans, Carley Stenson, Jon Clayton and other members of the Pantomime cast from Venue Cymru.  

Following the Parade there was a performance of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” outside the Town Hall outside the Town Hall and the Batala Samba Band also performed.

The Mayor of Llandudno, Cllr G J T Robbins said “I hope that everyone enjoyed this year’s Christmas Parade and the wonderful entertainment at the Town Hall. The response from the crowds was amazing! It was also fantastic to be able to present Mr Samuel Peter, AKA Monkey Man, with the Towns Armorial Bearings for ten years of entertaining in our town as part of the event. I wish to thank all involved and welcome anyone who might want to take part in next year’s event to contact the Town Hall so that we can make it better every year.”

The Chairman of the Christmas Parade, Cllr Antony Bertola said, “The sheer joy of seeing people’s faces particularly the children makes all the Town Council team and organisers very proud and grateful. The event is a credit to all the staff involved and also the performers who participated in the parade. We would like to thank the public for all their support and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Best wishes for the New Year. See you all next year”.
