On Sunday 10th November 2024 , Remembrance Services were held in both Llandudno and Penrhynside. 

Llandudno

The day commenced with a Service at Trinity Church, led by the Rev’d Vince Morris and the Royal British Legion Chaplain, Revd Canon Philip Barratt OC.   The Service was followed by a Parade to the War Memorial on the Promenade, led by Llandudno Town Band, the Mayor of Llandudno, Cllr Michael Pearce, representatives of the Royal British Legion, Town Councillors, Clare Hughes, MP, Mrs J Finch-Saunders, MS,  Cllr Harry Saville, representing the Chairman of Conwy County Borough Council, military personnel, veterans, civilian and community organisations.   They were joined at the war memorial by residents and visitors for a reflective and poignant service and wreath laying to remember those who have lost their lives in the service of their country.

Penrhynside

A remembrance and wreath laying service also took place at Penrhynside War Memorial, conducted by Lay Minister, Mr Alan McKinnell.  The Service was attended by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Antony Bertola, members of local Ex Service and Voluntary Organisations, Penrhyn ward members, Penrhyn residents and community groups.

Armistice Day

On Armistice Day, 11th November 2024, a Remembrance Ceremony took place at Llandudno War memorial, conducted by Rev. Canon Philip Barratt OC, and a representative of the Royal British Legion, with observance of the Two minute silence at 11 am and laying of wreaths. Cllr Michael Pearce, Mayor of Llandudno also gave an address. Following the Armistice Day Service, the Mayor and other attendees, made their way to Holy Trinity Church for a service to rededicate the Memorial Chapel on the 100th Anniversary of it being built.
