Christmas is one of the most beautiful times of the year, when we are all looking forward to spending time with our family and friends, with festive food and fun.
However, not everyone is so fortunate, and there are many families who are grieving the recent loss of loved ones; families split by war; families struggling with hardship: There are those who have lost home and security through no fault of their own. Let us pause for a moment think of those less fortunate than ourselves, that they will find happiness and security again in the near future.
Let us pray also, that the whole world will know the blessing of peace and prosperity again in 2025.
The Mayoress and I wish you all the peace, joy and blessing of this beautiful and blessed time of the year, whatever your beliefs and a happy and healthy New Year.
