Llandudno Christmas Parade Brings Festive Cheer to the Town
Llandudno Town Council was delighted to welcome the return of its spectacular Christmas Parade on Saturday, 6th December 2025. The much-loved annual event brought festive cheer to the streets as crowds lined Mostyn Street and Lloyd Street to enjoy the vibrant procession and entertainment.
The Parade was led by The Knights of Snowdon Corps of Drums, followed by the Mayor and Mayoress of Llandudno, Miss Alice, and Father Christmas on his sleigh. Attractions included Theatr Colwyn’s Beauty and the Beast-themed pantomime float, an elf in a bi-plane, a hula-hooping Christmas fairy, stilt walkers, juggling elves, a nativity float, and a host of local youth groups.
Spectators enjoyed a lively programme of entertainment outside the Town Hall featuring performances by Llandudno Town Band, Llandudno Youth Music Theatre, Linzi Grace Dancers, and Ysgol Glanwydden choir. The Christmas Lights were officially switched on by John Evans, AJ & Curtis Pritchard, and Han and Fran (BGT Finalists), appearing as the Ugly Sisters from Cinderella at Venue Cymru.
Following the Parade, the festivities continued on stage with the Hula-Hooping Christmas Fairy, juggling elves, and a mischievous appearance by the Grinch. Han and Fran delighted the crowd with a selection of ABBA songs, before the Batala Bermo Samba Band brought the day to a vibrant close.
Mayor of Llandudno, Cllr Antony Bertola, said:
“I hope that everyone enjoyed this year’s Christmas Parade, seeing the wonderful attractions and the fantastic groups who entertained outside the Town Hall. I wish to thank all involved and welcome anyone who may want to take part next year to contact the Town Hall so we can make the event better every year. Thank you to everyone who attended, both from the local area and further afield — it was wonderful to see the children’s smiles as I made my way through the town. We can’t wait to see you next year.”
Chairman of the Christmas Parade, Cllr Carol Marubbi, added:
“A big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put on this event — Town Councillors and staff, Conwy County Borough Council Events Team and ERF staff, Quantum Traffic Management Ltd, our volunteers and our wonderful Parade attractions and Town Hall performers. A big thank you also goes to all the performers in the Parade and those who entertained outside the Town Hall. We are alsograteful to the public for braving the weather to support the event and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.”
