Following Llandudno in Bloom’s Gold award in the Royal Horticultural Society’s Wales in Bloom competition we are delighted to announce that Llandudno has been awarded a Gold award in the Coastal Category in the Britain in Bloom competition – the UK’s biggest community gardening competition. 44 community gardening groups, who had all impressed their local judges the year before, were nominated to represent their region or nation in the UK Finals 2025.

The Chairman of Llandudno in Bloom, Cllr Louise Emery commented:

We are delighted with our Gold award.  It was a fantastic effort from the Town's Friends groups to showcase our beautiful Town. Starting at the summit of the Orme and finishing at the Glanwydden flower bank, we showed the judges how proud we are of our Town & Community by keeping it clean, green and being successful with public grants to renovative & improve our open spaces.

We would also like to congratulate Christine Jones from Friends of St Tudno’s who was presented with a Community Champion award for her exceptional dedication and work at St Tudno’s Church.

Thanks goes to: the Llandudno in Bloom Committee, Great Orme Country Park Team, Friends of Tudno's Church, Friends of Happy Valley, Friends of West Shore, Friends of Mostyn Street and Friends of Mostyn Street Kidz, Holy Trinity Church, Friends of Queen’s Park, Friends of Prince’s, Friends of Glanwydden, the Queens Head and Mostyn Estates who all helped the Town win GOLD!”
